Sheriff of Nottingham

You look a friend in the eyes and swear that your velvet bag contains nothing but apples, while it is actually stuffed with illegal contraband. The Sheriff decides whether to open your bag and fine you, or accept a hefty bribe to let you pass. The game ends when everyone has been the Sheriff twice and you count up the coin values of your goods. The cardboard coins feel cheap, and the game completely breaks down if players refuse to lie or bribe.
